Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate the small businesses that help support your community and is held every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving! You can support independent businesses by shopping and dining in downtown Hanford on Saturday, November 25th! To have a little fun (as if shopping wasn't fun enough) we have added a SELFIE CONTEST! Special wines and chocolates are purchased and approximately 25 downtown businesses kick-off the holiday season during this extravagant festival. Participants receive a Main Street Hanford wine glass and sample from the list of over 50 wines and delectable chocolates. Many of the shops use this event as a Holiday Open House with delicious hors d’oeuvres and unique added touches like live music and photo booths.
Witches Night Out is BACK! A spooktacular ladies shopping night out held Friday, October 20th, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Grab your friends, put on your fanciest witches hat and join us for this spellbinding event. Tickets are $20 and will go on sale October 2nd at Castaways Consignments, Fatte Albert's Pizza Co., Hanford Antique Emporium, Lush Fine Wines, and Main Street Hanford! The Moon Festival is from Noon to 5 pm in China Alley, downtown Hanford at Seventh St. and Green St. Celebrate the completion of the harvest, held the first Saturday in October, when the moon is full. Hanford’s celebration includes tours of the historic Taoist Temple, live entertainment, moon cakes and traditional Chinese food and a tea garden. Entertainment is from 2pm to 4pm and includes Cal Poly's Chinese Lion Dancers, Fresno Gumyo Taiko drum line and Hanford Bonsai Society display of miniature trees. This popular event is co-sponsored by the Taoist Temple and Main Street Hanford.

Leprechauns looking for fun will want to join in the festivities on St. Patrick’s Day from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in downtown Hanford. This event will include a microbrew tasting at 20+ downtown businesses, traditional Irish music, shopping and fun. Remember to wear green for the event!!

Main Street Hanford, as a certified Main Street program through the National Main Street organization will continue our work towards “The Refreshed Main Street Approach”. The primary focus will be on outcomes, as opposed to process.
We want you to be part of this “Refreshed Main Street Hanford” process. We invite you to join us. We will be holding our second "Community Transformation" meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 5:30 p.m. in the City of Hanford Training Room 319 N. Douty Street. All members of the community interested in assisting with the transforming downtown into something great are encouraged to attend.

The blues are alive and well in downtown Hanford and this special event boasts live blues entertainers from 5:30 to 10:00 pm in Civic Park. Enjoy the music, dance under the harvest moon and dine under the stars at this admission free event.
